Laser Facial (LaseMD Ultra)

Non-ablative 1927-nm laser for glow, clarity & fine lines—customized with minimal downtime.

  • What it is: Non-ablative 1927-nm laser facial (LaseMD Ultra)
  • Best for: Sun damage, melasma, uneven tone, texture, pores, fine lines
  • Downtime: Pink 1–2 days; light flaking possible
  • Plan: Series of 3–6 depending on skin concerns and severity, then maintenance.

What is a Laser Facial?

A laser facial is a gentle, non-ablative treatment that uses the 1927-nm thulium wavelength (LaseMD Ultra) to create thousands of microscopic treatment zones in the upper layers of the skin. This signals a controlled renewal process that can brighten uneven tone, fade sun damage and melasma, and refine texture and pores, typically with minimal downtime. Each treatment at Bella Vida MedSpa is calibrated to your skin tone, concerns, and lifestyle.

Benefits at a glance

  • Brighter, more even tone (sun spots, freckles, melasma)
  • Smoother texture with the look of smaller pores
Softening of fine lines on the face, neck, chest, and hands
  • Short, comfortable visits; most people are pink for 1–2 days
  • Customizable across a range of skin tones with proper settings and aftercare

Am I a candidate?

You may be a good candidate if you’re bothered by sun damage, discoloration, rough texture, enlarged pores, or early fine lines and prefer a low-downtime option.

We’ll review:

  • Recent sun exposure or tanning/self-tanner
  • Current skincare (e.g., retinoids, exfoliating acids)
  • Medications/supplements that may increase photosensitivity
  • Pregnancy/breastfeeding status
History of cold sores or active breakouts

If another option would better match your goals (e.g., deeper resurfacing or RF microneedling for laxity), we’ll explain the pros/cons and help you choose.

What to expect — Before / During / After

Before

  • Arrive with clean skin.
  • Pause retinoids and strong acids for 3–5 days unless your provider advises otherwise.
  • Use daily broad-spectrum SPF and avoid intentional tanning.

During

  • Appointment time: ~20–30 minutes for the face.
  • Sensation: a warm, prickly feel; numbing is usually not required.
  • You can return to normal activities right after, unless advised otherwise.

After

  • Pinkness for 1–2 days is common; skin may feel slightly “sandy” as it renews.
  • Keep skincare simple: gentle cleanser, hydrating moisturizer, and SPF 30+.
  • Avoid harsh actives and heat exposure (hot yoga/sauna) until skin calms.

Series
Most plans include 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We’ll tailor the count to your skin concerns and response, then map a simple maintenance plan.

Results timeline

  • Days 1–3: pink → healthy glow begins; tone looks more even.
Week 1–2: texture feels smoother; makeup sits more evenly.
  • After a series: progressive improvement in clarity, tone, and fine lines, with maintenance to keep results looking fresh.

Patient Voices

  • “My sun spots faded after two sessions and my skin glows.” — Ashley R., 03/2025

How does LaseMD Ultra compare to Fraxel and Clear + Brilliant?

Clear + Brilliant is a lighter thulium treatment designed for maintenance and gentle glow.
Fraxel covers a range of fractional lasers that can be more aggressive, often with more downtime depending on settings.
LaseMD Ultra uses a 1927-nm thulium wavelength with high delivery speed and customizable energy so we can target tone, pigment, texture, and fine lines with minimal downtime for most skin types. Many patients who start by asking for Fraxel or Clear + Brilliant choose Ultra after a consult once we review goals, downtime tolerance, and skin history.

Note: We’ll recommend the modality that best fits your skin and schedule. If a deeper resurfacing or a gentler approach is better for your goals, we’ll explain why.

Pricing & Packages

$399 for ½ face or a small area. Packages are available after assessment.

FAQs

How many sessions will I need?

Most plans include 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. We’ll tailor the count to your concerns and how your skin responds, then recommend maintenance.

Is it safe for my skin tone?

Yes, when settings and aftercare are customized. Your consultation confirms candidacy and pretreatment steps.

What’s the downtime?

Typically 1–2 days of pinkness; light flaking is possible. Keep skincare gentle and use daily SPF 30+.

Can I combine it with Botox or fillers?

Yes. For added tightening and texture improvement, pair with RF microneedling. For pigment and tone, you can combine with other lasers as advised. We’ll sequence treatments so they complement each other.

When can I wear makeup?

Often the next day if skin allows, follow your provider’s guidance.

Does it help melasma?

It can improve the look of melasma when carefully planned with sun protection and skincare. Your provider will set expectations and a maintenance plan.

How does this compare to Fraxel or Clear + Brilliant?

All three are fractional lasers, but Clear + Brilliant is typically lighter, and Fraxel can be more intensive with more downtime depending on settings. LaseMD Ultra provides a fast, customizable 1927-nm option that addresses tone, pigment, texture, and fine lines with minimal downtime for most people. Your consultation will determine the best fit.
